Julia is a character on Sesame Street who became the show's first autistic muppet. She is four years old and made her first appearance in 2015. She is performed by Stacey Gordon, which her son has autism. Julia likes being with her friends and enjoys feathers. She has a stuffed bunny named Fluffster. Since she has autism, she is sensitive to loud noises. To describe how atypical Julia is, people usually say she does things in a "Julia sort of way." just so younger audiences can understand what autism really is.
